Besides the CE-certified side impact protection provided by the sole, the toe and heel cups are reinforced, and the Viky gets D3O armor at the ankles.
The shell of these boots looks like leather but is actually a high-tenacity "Micro-Synth" material, which Falco says is lighter, more water- and wear-resistant, and won't require upkeep like traditional leather will.
That topical DWR waterproofing is backed up by Falco's house brand "High-Tex" waterproof/breathable membrane, which makes this a year-round boot.
Offered in classic black as well as a nice oiled red, the Viky is a welcome addition to our women's section.
