Built in Stylmartin's company-owned factory in Romania, the Piper Air riding shoes come with the quality we've come to expect from this Italian motorcycle footwear brand. The extra sturdy (and grippy!) Michelin sole contributes to the quality fit and feel fo the shoes.
D3O ankle armor both inside and outside each side of the ankle helps provide extra protection from getting your foot caught in a motorcycle crash sandwich. A reinforced heel cup and stiff footbed plate underneath combine to pass the CE test for motorcycle use.
The toe cap is not as reinforced as we'd like to see, but there is a thoughtfully placed leather patch to help relieve any undue pressure from the shift lever, and the ventilated canvas on the rest of the toe box will provide appreciated extra ventilation in the warmer months.
Built on the same last as some of the company's waterproof options, this non-waterproof model seems to fit a little roomier that the size chart would suggest.
We're happy to add these to our footwear offering as it's been hard to find comfortable and quality-made boots that are not waterproof. Expect these shoes to whistle airflow through them under flight.

Staylmartin is an Italian brand that under its original heydey was a big player in offroad racing, and then later in the 1990s Grand Prix circuits, with riders like Steadie Eddie Lawson racing in Stylmartin boots.
